Computer Graphics and High Performance Computing
The main field of our research are the applications of widely understood
computer graphics and high performance parallel computing. In particular our
field of interest is processing of spatial data, such as point clouds, digital models
of terrain, buildings and other objects in multidimensional space. That type of
big data needs very high computing power and optimization algorithms, which is
the second branch of our research activities.

Mgr inż. Joanna Tarko
graduated in Applied Physics from Cracow University of Technology and received her MSc in 2010. She has been an assistant lecturer at Cracow University of Technology, Institute of Computer Science between 2010 and 2015. Currently, she is on sabbatical, while doing an EngD (Engineering Doctorate) with the Centre for Digital Entertainment at the University of Bath, UK.
Her research interests focus on using computer vision techniques to combine real-world footage with computer generated objects. She is interested in particular in camera tracking, relighting and augmented and mixed reality. Currently, she is working on structure from motion for 360° spherical cameras and inserting computer generated objects into 360° videos with real-time user interaction.
